We had our first real snow of this season this past weekend … and both Livi and Roho were all… a…bout …. it! Roho, of course, a born-and-bred snow angel, couldn’t get enough, even in the FREEZING temps. Yes, this was dry, fluffy, super-cold snow, with a nasty whipping wind. Livi, being the fearless little fireball she is, tried desperately to keep up with her furry big brother … mom and dad had to be the bad guys and rein her in after her cheeks turned a rather bright shade of cherry (er… cranberry, maybe?)!
But, I must admit, this little snowsuit and hat are amaaaaazing! Both are fleece-lined and super-warm. And the fact that it makes Livi look like a little huggable marshmallow is just icing on the cuteness cake 🙂 Even better, both are on deep discount right now … yes, the holiday season may be over, but we still have a few months of winter wonderland left, so take advantage!
And, for me … the three pieces that I am simply loving right now. First, this coat! I purchased it last year, but didn’t get much wear out of it, so this was one of its first real romps in the snow. I can’t say enough about fur hoods in winter — if my neck is cold, I’m cold (miserably so)… but give me some warm, furry coziness like this, and I’m good to go!
And I can’t say enough about these boots — for winter boots, no one does it better than Sorel … they are so functional without sacrificing on style. Color-blocking and a wedge …. for a snowboot?! Yes, and yes. We visited a Sorel store while out shopping for the holidays and Jacob had to drag me out before I blew our entire holiday budget on 10 pairs of boots for myself … they’re that good — check out some of my favorites in the links below.
Finally, one of my Christmas presents …. this Henri Bendel convertible bag/backpack. So good. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know how important the hands-free bag is to me — it’s a necessity really … I’m a working mother, I juggle a lot … groceries, Livi, coffee, keys, etc. Nothing makes life easier when running from one errand to the next than a hands-free bag, which usually translates to a cross-body (I adore them!). But, sometimes you need a bag with a bit more room, and a large cross-body quickly looses it’s appeal (c’mon, it’s kinda annoying once it reaches a certain size). So… the natural transition is to a backpack! And this one is so sleek and stylish … plus it easily converts to a regular handbag, which also makes it perfect for work — big enough to carry my work files, a laptop, etc. And triple bonus, it’s also big enough to serve as a small diaper bag for shorter trips! It’s a working mother’s dream bag 🙂

I hope you have a great week!
xoxo, K
