Hello! In case you haven’t been paying attention, the 4th of July is only a few weeks away! What are your plans?? We do the week of the fourth in central coast California every year … it’s where my hubby grew up, and it’s where his entire extended family meets up for beach volleyball, wine tasting, zip-lining, boating, corn hole, the annual 4th of July parade, fireworks, and a whole host of other shenanigans!
As most of you know, I like to keep everything as simple as possible, all the time, and my 4th of July look is no different. Classic colors, stripes, a touch of vintage, and all-American details are the name of the game. I mean, what says good ol’ America like cut-offs? And did you notice, one of the key pieces of this look is also one of my Essential 25? If you haven’t checked out this foundational post, you can see it here (find it anytime under the collections tab).
What I love most about this look, is that it really works anywhere, regardless of how you plan to spend your holiday — beach, backyard BBQ, pool party, etc. The umbrella, hat, and mineral sunblock have got you covered, you can throw everything you need in your straw tote, and if you happen to catch a chill during those fireworks toss on this super cozy, oversize sweater, wrap up in your beach blanket, and start a cuddle fest with your crew!
For any downtime or lulls in the excitement, forgo the smartphone and jam out to this super cool portable vintage radio (a conversation starter for sure)!
I wish you all a safe, happy 4th full of fun and family! And I’ve shared a yummy holiday-themed drink for you all below …
Happy Birthday America!
yours, K
