Hello! Can you believe Valentine’s Day is right around the corner? I feel like it was just Christmas! If your kids are anything like mine, they’re agitating about Valentines. They’ve begged me to purchase the cheesy boxed ones at Target — you know the ones, you head down the seasonal aisle and you’re bombarded with Paw Patrol, Mickey, and array of Disney characters. While I generally let me kids choose what they like, I suggested we make our own Valentine’s this year. Since our school leans heavily on books and classic literature, we thought it would be great to hand out homemade bookmarks (and some chocolate too of course)!
Using Canva, we created these sweet & colorful little beauties! We added a heart using a heart hole punch, and then a regular hole punch at the top with a pretty ribbon!
You can download your own here: green, blue, purple! They obviously won’t have your child’s name on them, but you can always write it on or just give it as is with a signed card 🙂
The download has four bookmarks on each page, so divide the total number you need by 4, and that’s the number of pages you should print. We laminated the pages before cutting out the bookmarks and adding the hole punches and ribbons, but you could also forgo laminating altogether. Having experienced life with three small children, my motto is “laminate to last” … but it’s completely up to you!
Finally, we plan to slip our bookmark into a small bag, along with some sweet chocolates before handing them out to friends! We love Dove chocolate hearts the best!
Have a great weekend my friends!
