Chances are, you have a signature scent. Most women do. What if I told you, that you really need three different scents? Yes, really. No, it’s not overkill … scent is a powerful thing, it has a dramatic impact on our mood. And I’m guessing your moods vary quite a bit as you go about from day to day … from a casual, carefree day off, to a make or break presentation at work, to a romantic date night with your significant other. Your scent should match your mood, and help get you in the mindset for the experiences ahead … it’s just one more way to help you live in the moment, and enjoy every minute of it.
So here they are — the three types of scents, and I’ve collected a few options that I love for each. Here’s to finding your next two signature scents …
Carefree
This scent is for your white tee, jeans, and messy bun day … it’s fresh, light, and reminds you of the perfect spring day … just warmer than cool … sunny, but with rolling fluffy clouds, a light breeze, and the smell of flowers in the air.
Commodity Rain – A light and airy fragrance that combines notes of lotus, verbena, dew, and jasmine. Like walking through a garden in the rain.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede – A wonderful mix of peonies, red apple, jasmine, rose and gillyflower, all mingling with blush suede. This perfume is on the softer side of our favorite seasonal scents, but still a perfect addition to your collection of scents. It’s also one of their best sellers.
Philosophy Living Grace – ethereal and fresh, with notes of neroli, clean lily of the valley, and subtle musk to add a touch of warmth.
Professional
This scent makes, and leaves, an impression, but never overwhelms. Classic florals are a great option.
Pinrose Pinrose – a classic floral with the unexpected blend of rose and leather.
Aerin Lilac Path — crisp greens, lilac, creamy jasmine, angelica seed oil, and orange flower.
Tocca Florence – alluring blend of Italian bergamot and crushed violet petals, with touches of ivory gardenia combined with blonde wood.
Night Out
This scent is heavier than the other two, with hints of musk, moss, and spice. Romance and seduction are the name of the game.
Chanel No. 19 – a rich blend of green florals, jasmine, rose, iris, ylang ylang, sandalwood, mosses, and wood notes.
Tom Ford Black Orchid – a spicy mix of bergamot, citrus accord, gardenia, vanilla, and orchid.
Nest Dahlia & Vines – a rich, luxurious blend of dewy daffodils, peony, and rose, blended with the essence of garden vines.
