Hello! Welcome to the second capsule collection in my Essential 12 series! If you missed my first Essential 12 post (the Kitchen Capsule Collection No. 1) be sure to check it out. Today is all about your master bedroom … though you could incorporate these beautiful pieces into any bedroom.
The theme is soft & neutral (this makes it very easy to change out pillows, blankets and other decor as you move through the seasons), with rich accent tones, luxurious fabrics, and a vintage English countryside feel.
I adore this wallpaper — the color is stunning, just enough to pop but could still almost qualify as a neutral! The botanical print is pretty and whimsical, and it’s a nice linen texture, which adds dimension and character. The vintage prints are sold in a collection, so you can use them as you choose (together in a collage or separately throughout the room). They’d look beautiful in vintage gold frames — these are some of my favorites!
I think greenery is essential in a bedroom, and this faux potted tree is a great option if you have somewhat of a black (rather than green) thumb (that’s me!). It looks great, requires no maintenance (other than the occasional dusting), and is reasonably priced. If you’re like me, fresh blooms are must — so a beautiful vase was sure to make my list. Fresh flowers soften the space, add life and beauty to the room, and smell wonderful!

Finally, every woman needs a chest or box for keepsakes. I purchased this one a few years ago to create a legacy box for my children. I wrote each of them a letter when they were born and I’ve written subsequent letters since on a variety of topics. I plan to continue these letters throughout their childhood. I view it as a box of wisdom — all the things I want them to know about life, love, and God. One day, when I’m gone, they’ll have them, along with my Bible, and few of my most favorite books. This particular box is a beautiful, high quality wood and the craftmanship is excellent. It’s also customizable with an engraving of your choice. It’s one of my favorite things.
Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week. Later this week I’ll have a post on Valentine’s Day goodies for your kiddos to share with their friends at school. If you’re tired of the cheesy, boxed Valentines you purchase at Target and other stores, then be sure to check back! I’ll have a free download and instructions 🙂
