Happy Friday you guys!! This week dragged on and on for me … so ready to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend (yes, the heat finally broke here in D.C.)! I think we’re going to take Livi apple picking … so stay tuned for some fun Insta pics!

In the meantime … let’s talk about this outfit! As I said in one of yesterday’s Insta posts, this is an entirely different look for me! I have a thing for coordinating sets — spoiler alert, you’ll see another one next week 🙂 — so when I saw this one, I thought, why not? I truly believe that in order to grow as a person, you need to try new things. And, I admit, I’ve always had trouble with that … but since having Livi, I’ve realized I need to provide a good example for her — she’ll never push herself to try new things if she doesn’t see mom doing it! So, here we go …

""

So, when I pulled this out of the box, I was like, “wow, this looks beyond comfy!” And, I was not disappointed. This whole thing is seriously more comfortable than my PJs. The material is a thick, substantial, stretchy knit that holds its shape beautifully!

""

""

I’ll admit, it felt a little odd at first — I’m not used to wearing oversized pieces from head to toe! I generally like to balance things out by going roomy either on top or bottom, and balancing everything out with a more fitted silhouette on the opposite end. But, this all-over roominess just worked … it’s surprisingly polished and elegant. A complete and total surprise.

""

This is the perfect Sunday brunch, followed by a good book in a big cozy chair kinda look…

""

""

""

I kept the rest of the look minimal — I wanted to let the oversized silhouette and shapes take center stage. I love the fluidity of this skinny scarf — it’s the perfect little color-shot, and the way it moves adds some airiness to all the structure in the rest of the look.

And loafers. I can’t get enough of them. So comfy, so classic … instant polish to ANY outfit.

A minimal bucket bag, classic watch, and slightly edgy, yet sophisticated sunnies tie it all together.

So, what do you think? Love it, hate it?? I’d love your feedback ladies!

I hope you enjoy the weekend — and I’m so excited to bring you more of my fall favorites next week! Until then, you can shop the look below …
