Hello Everyone — I hope you’re having a good week so far!
Today’s post features one of my go-to looks casual looks for the weekend — there’s nothing easier than sneakers and a ball cap (especially when the last thing you want to worry about for the day is your hair)!
As a working mom, the weekend often turns into a series of errands and chores, as it’s the only time I really have to make a dent in my to-do list. A soft, knit shift dress is easy — it’s only one piece, which doesn’t require much thought :). Since I’m running around, sneakers just make sense — and they look cool too! As I said before: ball cap = hair done!
For me, defining my waist is a must — otherwise I just look boxy, and the effect really is not flattering. A belt just didn’t mesh with my casual vibe here, so I tied one of my favorite striped tees around my waist to help create some shape and add interest to an otherwise plain black dress. I love stripes in general, but they’re particularly trendy right now, and I found the one linked below for under $10!
I’ve mentioned before the importance of cross body bags in my life — an absolute essential for any mother who needs to have her hands free for juggling things: babies, groceries, coffee, etc. I found the one linked below for under $30, a steal!
I kept my go-to pearl studs in the mix, added a pink watch for a feminine touch, and my favorite aviators. The result: practical, comfy, and cool!
I’d love to hear how you keep things stylish while juggling the not-so-glamorous aspects of daily life, so send me a note 🙂
yours, Kristin
