There’s few things I love more than a crisp, fall day. There’s just something so comforting about the wind blowing, and the falling leaves swirling around the sky in a collision of autumn colors.
Perhaps it’s all the fond childhood memories that fill my mind during this time of year — the excitement of a new school year, football games, trick-or-treating, bonfires, Homecoming, running through a rain shower of leaves with my little brother as my parents cleared them off our driveway, turkey dinners, and precious time with family and friends.
And now, I’m so excited to share this time, and create new memories, with Jacob and Livi.
And luckily for me, Livi, at least for now, is just as in love with fall as I am… she walks from one leaf to the next, picking up each one as if it’s a one-of-a-kind treasure. I guess with her childhood wonder, it is.
And there’s an excitement in everything she sees, smells, and touches …. her smile and laugh is infectious.
Now I know why people who have children describe it as having joy. There’s no other way to describe the way I feel when I’m with this little girl.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! If you haven’t checked out my Thanksgiving dessert recipe (so good!), you can view that here, and stay tuned for my upcoming Thanksgiving Day post, where I’ll be sharing some very exciting news!
xoxo, K
