Ok, I know all of you are super-busy with all the last-minute cleaning, chopping, baking, and turkey-cooking prep … but I promise, these cute little treats will only take 30 minutes of your time! And your little one will have a blast making, and eating, them! Plus, you only need a few ingredients, most of which, if you’re a mom, I bet you already have on hand!
So, take a 30-minute break, grab your littles, and have some fun … gobbling noises totally optional, but highly recommended 🙂
Ingredients:
Pretzels, Rolos, Candy Corn, M&Ms, Candy Eyes (or, as an easy substitute, Marshmallows)
Directions:
If you do not have any candy eyes on hand (available at most grocery stores in the baking aisle), and opt to use marshmallow as an alternative — using a knife or scissors, cut several pencil eraser-size segments of marshmallow (you’ll need two for each turkey treat) Count out 3 candy corns and one M&M for each pretzel/Rolo combo — set aside Place a piece of wax paper on a large, microwave-safe plate Place the pretzels on the wax paper, and place a single, unwrapped Rolo at the center of each pretzel — microwave for 30 seconds Gently press the Rolo down on the pretzel so that the pretzel “sticks” to the Rolo Quickly press three caramel corns along the top of the Rolo in a “fan-like” pattern Press a single red M&M into the Rolo vertically underneath the candy corns Press two candy eyes (or marshmallow segments), one on each side of the M&M, into the Rolo
… and we have festive, yummy Thanksgiving treats … that are just as fun to eat as they are to make 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
yours, K
