Happy Wednesday you guys! How’s your week going? I hope you’re enjoying the cooler temperatures as much as I am… I was getting desperate! The heat was just dragging on … and on … and on.
I was finally able to bust out some cozy layers for this post … one of my many favorite aspects of fall fashion 🙂
Ok, so, this blouse …. OMG, I LOVE it! It’s gorgeous on its own, but the bell sleeves and ruffle hem make it the perfect layering piece … the bells and ruffles peek out in the most fabulous way. I mean, the view from behind with this ruffled hem … perfection!
And I love how the bell sleeves are pretty, feminine, and just enough to make a statement without being overwhelming. If you missed my post on another one of my favorite bell sleeve tops (you can see it here), you know that the whole working mommy thing can make the dramatic, oversized bell sleeves a bit of a challenge for me. The last time I wore them, the bells were so stained that my dry cleaner looked at me like I was crazy. I believe the description I used was that it looked like I got in a fist-fight with a 4-year-old over his rainbow slurpy. Yes, no joke. So …. these little bell sleeves are a wonderful fashion-forward, yet practical, compromise 🙂 And the delicate floral print…. so pretty.
And a big cozy sweater just ups the comfy, cool factor by ten. And as I stated above, despite covering the blouse, it actually emphasizes the beauty and intricate details of the blouse because it highlights the bell sleeves and ruffled hem. And every woman needs a sweater like this — it’s a wonderful basic that can be worn all fall and winter long… and there are some great options out there right now. Love this one (and it’s under $50!), this one is a steal on sale, and for a more statement-making color, this red one is gorgeous!
You’ve seen these culottes before — I also have them in white (available here) … and I’ll be wearing them all fall and winter long (yes, the white too, as you’ve seen in my White After Labor Day Series posts … white is completely do-able after Labor Day).
And this bag … also on repeat … because it’s amaaazing and the price tag will blow your mind! And shoes … shoes are always a great way to add a color pop, and red is always a show-stopper 🙂 Finally, some chandelier earrings and sleek sunnies complete the look! All outfit details are below … enjoy 🙂
I hope you guys have an amazing rest of the week — and stay tuned for my next White After Labor Day Series post … it hits the blog on Friday.
Until then …
xoxo, K

Such great colours – and of course the addition of the red shoes were a marvellous choice.
