Hi Guys …. is it just me, or is this week draaaaagggging??
Maybe it’s the cooler weather … I just want to be outside … sitting at my desk, face in my computer, watching the minutes tick by … it’s like torture! These crisp fall days are the ones I just want to ditch work, convince Jacob to play hooky, grab Livi and Roho, and spend the day outside at the park!
Soon… it’s Hump Day (#yay!)… only a few more days. And speaking of crisp, fall days … I snatched this coat the other day, and it may be THE perfect fall topper…
The oversized cocoon silhouette is perfect for layering over thick chunky knits, but it would look just as sophisticated layered over a slip dress for date night. And the color ….
Rose? Grapefruit? Strawberry? I don’t even know how I’d characterize it, except to say it’s beautiful and it’s different. As you saw in my last post, I love blush, but sometimes you need to turn up the volume just a bit … and this coat is a stand-out piece that will separate you from the crowd. I generally tend to gravitate towards warmer, peachy pinks rather than paler pinks with blue undertones, and the warmth in this color seriously casts a glow … it’s stunning!
And as you can see, I went with my favorite white denim! Black suede pumps, a structured black handbag, and a minimalist black watch keep the white firmly grounded in fall territory. And the graphic black/white combo creates a striking contrast to the color of the coat.
Lastly, I added a chunky gold chain necklace …. one of my favorite pieces to add polish and sophistication to any outfit.
