Hello! Look #4 is here! With Memorial Day now past us, summer is in full swing, which means beach days, festivals, outdoor parties and barbecues. Get ready for a series of effortless, breezy looks to take you through the next few months of sun and fun.
This look was a little unexpected, and is built entirely around this beautiful puff-sleeved top I found at Ann Taylor last week. I visited anntaylor.com to purchase a few essentials, including the iconic Perfect Shirt. Well, I ended up purchasing a few summer “extras” as well. This shirt being one of them!
Neutrals are my thing, but in the summer months, I can be persuaded to jump on the floral bandwagon too! I adore florals, but I’m picky! And Ann made some gems this summer. I linked to a few items I purchased below, along with all the pieces to this elegant, easygoing neutral look. These pants are linen, but if you’re looking for a all-season white trouser or wide-leg pant, these by Jenni Kayne are the ones! I almost included a wide leg white pant in the Essential 25, but I just could not for the life of me figure out what piece I’d need to eliminate to keep the number at 25. Essential 26 just isn’t working. So, my point: if there could be a 26th piece, these pants would be it, so don’t feel bad investing in a nice pair!
As I discuss in my Essential 25 post, the silk scarf is a great differentiator. There are so many beautiful ways to wear it. Take a look at a couple of my favorite ways below. In a bun, a French knot around your neck, as a belt, tied on your bag, or around a ponytail, you can’t go wrong.
This is a fantastic look for a day at the boardwalk, shopping, or a barbecue or picnic. It’s light, breezy, and comfortable, yet classy. All items are below, plus a few more “extras” I picked up! Happy mid-week!
